The Foundation’s main activities are to provide technical assistance to cocoa farmers, to promote organic production and to encourage the sharing of technology among farmers. It also oversees all El Ceibo’s social programmes, such as retirement payments, and health and education support for its associates. Additionally, it monitors all aspects of compliance with organic farming procedures.

The Foundation is creating a micro-finance organization to serve farmers, who have little access to credit to invest in their work.
